Most property content is written to sell you something. Mine is written so you can decide for yourself — which means saying what is wrong with a project as readily as what is right: density, noise, a price that does not hold up.

My goal is to help you understand both the strengths and limitations of each property, so you can make a decision that suits your needs.

Buying to live in

  • Layout and built-up against what you actually need, not the brochure's best case
  • What the area is like day to day, and what I would go and check before you commit
  • What the bank will realistically approve, so the budget is a real one

Buying to rent out

  • Entry price against the rest of the area, side by side
  • Maintenance, tenure and completion year — what decides the holding cost
  • Who else is selling nearby, and when they complete

  3. We visit, and check the numbers

  4. Booking through to key handover

  5. After you collect the keys

    Defect inspection, finding a tenant, reselling later.
